Kolkata chest clinic was established in the year 2007,by Dr.Aratrika Das. A pulmonologist. She has a vast experience of over 30 yers in this field and is senior most chest consultant at R.N.Tagor international institute of cardiac sciences. This clinic was set up with the objective of focussed attention of chest disease like Bronchial asthama, COPD, ILD, TB, Chest infection, Pneumonia, Plural efution, allergic rhinitis.etc. As asthama has a strong Correlation with allergy it was decided to include the treatment of Allergy in this clinic. Thus on 15th April 2021the name of the clinic was changed to KOLKATA CHEST & ALLERGY CLINIC. Hence the entire gamut of Allergy diagnosis and treatment is included in the clinic along with FENO, Spirometry ,Broncho provocation test,and poly sonography. So this is an organization To address chest disease and allergy's from A to Z and it offers an one step solution for the same.
About Me
A specialist in Chest Medicine from Kolkata, Dr. Aratika Das brings with her huge quantum of professional experience from her medical career that has been over two decades long.
While Dr. Arartika Das has acquired her MBBS qualification from Kolkata, her MD in Respiratory Medicine and Tuberculosis and Diploma in Environment and Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases have come through from Mumbai. On the professional front, Dr. Das has very efficiently played the role of Physician, Pulmonologist & Bronchoscopist at Maniben Nagarji Mehta Hospital, (Vapi), Arogya Niketan Chest Hospital (Siliguri), KPC Medial College (Kolkata) during different intervals of time. She not only has experience in setting up and serving in a fully equipped Intensive Respiratory Care Unit but by offering her services in a 500-Bed Tuberculosis Hospital, she has gained first hand experience in managing one of the most dreaded diseases in India. She has effortlessly shouldered supervision of various drug trials, in a large referral center in Mumbai. She is a frequent participant in various medical conferences and seminars and delivered lectures at a national and global level.
She employs her enormous Pulmonology experience and training in Fibre Optic–Brochoscopy at Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (Mukundapur) and Kolkata Chest Clinic, located near Lake Gardens in Kolkata where she currently serves. She has made her appearance in different health shows where she has discussed topics like Allergy, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and COPD at length. She believes in dedicating her services in medical camps, as part of philanthropic area of work. Something that needs special mention is that inspite of a hectic work schedule, she participates in plays and has held many dance shows where she has exhibited her dancing skills in Kathak.
